Frequently asked questions

What is this, and how does it work?

Paste a job post URL or a short description. We read the company and title, then give you the people most likely to refer you: employees, recruiters, and alumni-style searches at that company, plus similar companies already in our feed.

How is this different from searching LinkedIn?

LinkedIn search starts blank. We start from the job, pick the company, and hand you the exact people searches and intro notes. You still send the message. We just remove the guessing.

Do I need to already know someone at the company?

No. A referral is stronger from someone you already know, but most intros start with a recruiter, a teammate in the same function, or someone two hops away. We point you at those people.

Is it free? What's the catch?

This finder is free. The job feed and interview plans are separate. We do not sell your search to the employer.

What can you see? Can you read my emails?

No. We do not connect Gmail or LinkedIn. We only use the text or URL you paste, plus jobs already on this site.

Can my current employer see that I'm looking?

Not from us. We do not notify companies when you search. LinkedIn has its own privacy settings if you open those links while signed in.

What if I don't get any results?

Try the company name plus the job title, or paste the career-page URL. If we cannot read the page, the people searches still work from the company name alone.

Once I find someone, how do I get an intro or referral?

Open their LinkedIn, mention the exact role, and ask for 10 minutes or a referral if they think you are a fit. We include a short note you can copy.
